Quality Assurance
1. Perspective
The Student Affairs Department implements quality assurance work in accordance with the general orientation of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, taking alignment with the University’s development goals as the foundation and deploying activities following the continuous improvement cycle PDCA (Plan – Do – Check – Act).
The University applies the quality standard sets of the Ministry of Education and Training and the AUN-QA Standard Set version 4.0 to guarantee quality in training activities, scientific research, and community service. The quality assurance system is built to perform the functions of monitoring, evaluating, supporting, and continuously improving the University’s activities.
Quality assurance work is implemented based on core perspectives:
– Learners are the center of all activities.
– Quality is continuously improved based on reception and feedback from internal and external stakeholders of the University.
– Every cadre, lecturer, staff member, and learner has the responsibility to participate in the quality assurance system.
The implementation is carried out synchronously at all levels:
– Strategic level: Formulating quality policies, quality assurance strategies, and promulgating regulations related to educational quality assurance and accreditation.
– System level: Developing, operating, and disseminating quality assurance processes and tools based on the PDCA cycle to all cadres, lecturers, and staff.
– Operational level: Concreteizing the quality assurance strategy into annual quality objectives, serving as a basis for units to build plans and implement execution.

Vision
By 2035, Nguyen Tat Thanh University will become an innovative, multidisciplinary, multi-sector, and highly integrated university; training high-quality human resources to meet domestic and international demands, adapting to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and reaching regional and international standards.
Mission
Nguyen Tat Thanh University is committed to building a modern, learner-centered learning environment to comprehensively develop the capabilities and qualities of learners. The University aims to train active citizens with entrepreneurial, innovative, and internationally integrated capabilities who hold high competitiveness in the domestic and international labor markets through training, applied research, technology transfer, and community service activities; simultaneously maximizing the efficiency of strategic alliances with enterprises and research institutes.
3. Quality Commitments of the Student Affairs Department
Student Management and Support
– Ensure all aspects of managing, coordinating, inspecting, monitoring, and evaluating the activities of Class Management Boards in accordance with the University’s regulations; verify and secure benefits for Class Management Boards according to annual recognition decisions.
– Efficiently operate student consultation and support channels through the website, social networks, email, call center, and direct support counters at training campuses.
– Ensure accuracy and confidentiality regarding student profiles; execute the issuance of confirmation papers, certificates, and administrative procedures within its authority.
– Guide and support students and parents in supplementing and updating profiles; ensure the storage, utilization, and confidentiality of information according to regulations.
– Carry out the issuance of student ID cards, Class Management Board cards, and related documents fully and always in strict compliance with regulations.
– Ensure openness and transparency in the inspection, monitoring, and evaluation of students.
– Manage and support students in completing residential and off-campus declarations as prescribed.
School Security and Order Assurance
– Actively build and deploy plans and programs to ensure school security, order, and safety; fully implement regulations and guidelines from state management agencies.
– Coordinate with competent authorities in crime prevention, social evils control, and handling legal violations among students.
Regularly monitor the ideological, psychological, and living situations of students; provide timely support, education, and resolution for arising cases.
– Proactively coordinate in preventing, detecting, and handling incidents related to security and order within the scope of the University.
Implementation of Student Regimes and Policies
– Ensure proper propagation, guidance, and settlement of State and University regimes and policies for students.
– Advise and execute procedures for tuition fee exemptions/reductions, study support, and social welfare policies for students eligible for such regimes.
– Advise on the assessment and award of study encouragement scholarships, sponsored scholarships, and various forms of commendation for students with outstanding achievements.
– Regularly review, update, and improve support policies to meet the practical needs of learners.
Organization of Cultural, Art, and Sports Activities
– Proactively organize cultural, art, and physical education/sports activities to contribute to the comprehensive physical, mental, and skill development of students.
Coordinate with the Youth Union – Student Association to develop the system of clubs, teams, and groups; creating an environment for students to practice, network, and promote their talents.
– Select and foster outstanding individuals and collectives to participate in competitions and tournaments at City, Ministry, and National levels.
Healthcare and Psychological Support
– Ensure school medical work, primary healthcare, and emergency response handling at training campuses.
Effectively implement Health Insurance and Accident Insurance for students.
– Organize educational programs on disease prevention, health education, reproductive health, life skills, and a healthy lifestyle.
– Coordinate with a team of psychological consultants to support students in learning, training, and resolving psychological difficulties.
Academic Advising, Alumni, and Academic Club Work
Regarding academic advising work
– Advise on the recognition and management of the annual list of academic advisors.
– Synthesize and deploy periodic meeting contents and information from the University to the academic advising team.
– Receive and synthesize reports, evaluate operational efficiency, and propose solutions to enhance the quality of academic advising work.
– Organize preliminary and final reviews, and propose commendations for individuals with outstanding achievements.
Regarding alumni work
– Participate in coordinating the activities of the Alumni Association and the University-level Alumni Liaison Board.
– Coordinate the organization of networking, connecting, gathering programs, and developing the alumni network.
– Synthesize operational reports, receive feedback, and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of alumni work.
Regarding academic clubs
– Coordinate with faculties and institutes to organize academic activities, scientific research, seminars, and professional competitions for students.
– Monitor and evaluate the operational efficiency of academic clubs.
– Organize final reviews, commendations, and propose rewards for collectives and individuals with active contributions to academic activities.
