Participate in the National No Tobacco Week (May 25–31, 2025) & Respond to World No Tobacco Day May 31, 2025, and join the school in spreading the message of preventing and combating the harms of tobacco – for public health!
In order to strengthen the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms and deploy Resolution No. 173/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on prohibiting the production, trade, import, and use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products – the Ministry of Education and Training launches a sector-wide campaign to enhance propaganda and education on tobacco harm prevention among pupils and students with many meaningful messages:
THE HARMS OF TOBACCO – A DANGER THAT CANNOT BE UNDERESTIMATED1. Tobacco use causes more than 100,000 deaths each year in Vietnam.
2. Tobacco use causes a loss of 108 trillion VND each year, 5 times higher than the revenue collected from tobacco taxes.
3. Using tobacco, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco products wastes money and comes at the cost of your health.
4. Using tobacco, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco products causes damage to the lungs, heart, and brain, especially in young people.
5. Quit smoking to set a good example for your children.
6. Quit smoking today for your health and the health of your loved ones.
7. Smoking shisha is just as harmful as using other tobacco products.
SAY NO TO NEW TOBACCO PRODUCTS: E-CIGARETTES – HEATED TOBACCO PRODUCTS1. E-cigarettes and heated tobacco products are not smoking cessation aids as often advertised.
2. E-cigarettes and heated tobacco products contain toxic chemicals such as those found in car exhaust fumes and pesticides.
3. Nicotine in conventional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco products impairs brain development in children.
4. Complying with regulations banning the use and transport of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products is the responsibility of every organization and individual.
5. Prohibit the use, production, trade, import, and transport of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products (Resolution No. 173/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly).
6. Vietnamese youth strictly comply with regulations banning the use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.
7. Vietnamese youth say no to tobacco, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco products.
