Nguyen Tat Thanh University Launches Massage and Acupressure Room to Serve Practical Training for Health Science Students

On the morning of Feb 6th, at the Golden King building (Tan My Ward, HCMC), Nguyen Tat Thanh University inaugurated the Massage and Acupressure Room. This will be a practical training site for students in the Health Sciences sector.

Attending the program, on the side of the guests, there was the presence of: GS.TS.BS. Nguyen Duc Trong – Senior Advisor of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – Director of Vinasuke Co., Ltd.; BS.CKII. Nguyen Tien Tinh – Former Head of the Department of Physiotherapy – Rehabilitation, 175 Military Hospital.

On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there was the participation of TS. Nguyen Mai Lan – Party Committee Secretary, Chairwoman of the University Council; Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong – University Rector; TS. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice Rector; TS.BS. Thang Kim Sang – Acting Director of the Institute for Health Research and Care; Together with the Deans, Deputy Deans, and heads of departments, institutes, and faculties throughout the university.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, TS. Nguyen Mai Lan – Party Committee Secretary, Chairwoman of the University Council, said that the Institute for Health Research and Care in general and the Massage and Acupressure Room in particular play an important role in the development process of Nguyen Tat Thanh University with the goal of research, practical training, and providing health services in a scientific direction.

TS. Nguyen Mai Lan added that the Massage and Acupressure Room not only introduces healthcare services belonging to Nguyen Tat Thanh University to staff, lecturers, students, and society, but also creates a practical professional environment for Health Science students, helping students “combine theory with practice”, enhancing professional capabilities under the close guidance of staff, lecturers, and qualified personnel.

At the same time, this is also a place to meet the mental healthcare needs of the university’s human resources.

On this occasion, TS. Nguyen Mai Lan also presented vouchers for using services at the Massage and Acupressure Room to the guests attending the program.

According to TS.BS. Thang Kim Sang – Acting Director of the Institute for Health Research and Care, the Massage and Acupressure Room will be a location for providing healthcare services using traditional medicine methods, providing training for short-term courses according to social demand in the field of traditional medicine. At the same time, it will research and apply new products and methods for healthcare, scientific research, transfer of scientific research results, and international cooperation.

Initially, the Massage and Acupressure Room provides services such as acupressure massage, therapeutic hair washing, herbal foot baths, and sauna services; services are performed according to traditional medicine methods to support relaxation and rehabilitation, helping to improve physical and mental health.

Within the framework of the opening ceremony, Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed a cooperation agreement with Vinasuke Co., Ltd. with many important contents such as: Cooperating to develop human resources with basic medical knowledge in the use of healthcare equipment; Coordinating to build and deploy training programs and short-term courses in the field of healthcare. At the same time, sharing infrastructure and equipment for research and healthcare; Commercializing products, registering copyrights, and intellectual property according to the contribution ratio ……

The opening of the Massage and Acupressure Room not only meets the increasingly high requirements for training quality and human resources in the health sector but also creates conditions for students to study, practice, and research in a professional environment that is close to reality.
