NTTU Campuses Bustle with Freshmen submitting Enrollment Documents for 2026 at Xom Chieu and An Phu Dong

Nguyen Tat Thanh University is currently receiving enrollment applications for the Class of 2026 at its two campuses, Xom Chieu and An Phu Dong. The university is offering 2,000 scholarship slots worth up to 19 million VND for freshmen who complete their procedures before August 21st.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, admitted candidates must confirm their admission online on the system before 5:00 PM on August 21st. Skipping this step means candidates are considered to have declined their admission results, even if they met the cut-off scores.

August 21st is also the deadline for freshmen to submit their documents at the university and qualify for the 2026 scholarship policy. The university receives applications at two campuses: Xom Chieu (300A Nguyen Tat Thanh) and An Phu Dong (331A-B Do Muoi).

Understanding the timeline helps candidates and parents proactively complete the procedures, securing their right to enroll and ensuring they do not miss out on support policies for freshmen.

From long-distance trips to the first day as an NTTU student

At the reception area, parents took the opportunity to double-check documents, look at the directional maps, and give advice to their children before entering the registration rooms. Many freshmen were pulling suitcases and luggage bags, taking their very first photos on campus while waiting for their turn. A mix of excitement and slight nervousness was clearly visible on their faces on the day they officially became university students.

For families coming from other provinces, the journey to the university was not just about completing paperwork. It was also a time for parents and children to learn more thoroughly about the training curriculum, tuition fees, scholarships, accommodation, and orientation activities. For many freshmen, the suitcase brought along on enrollment day also marked a transition to independent life and a new learning pace at the university level.

Nguyen Thanh Duy, a freshman majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology, shared: “My family and I arrived at the school early in the morning to complete the enrollment procedures. At first, I was quite nervous because there were many documents to check, but upon arrival, I was guided step-by-step by upperclassmen volunteers, so everything went much smoother than I expected. The moment I finished my application, I could clearly feel that I had officially become an NTTU student.”

Enrollment day is also a special milestone for parents. Following the journey of helping their children choose majors, schools, and arrange preferences, many families came directly to NTTU to get a clearer understanding of the educational environment and support conditions available to students.

Some parents followed their children through each area, carefully noting down necessary information; others stood outside waiting for their children to complete the paperwork, feeling both joyful and taking the chance to give a few more words of advice before their children officially step into university life.

A parent of freshman Nguyen Minh Anh, majoring in Pharmacy, stated: “What our family cares about most when our child starts university is the training program, tuition, accommodation, and their ability to adapt to a new environment. On enrollment day, the family received detailed guidance; our lingering concerns were also answered directly. Seeing our child complete the procedures and start getting familiar with the school makes us both happy and more reassured.”

Every step of enrollment is accompanied by the NTTU team

For a freshman, enrollment day often comes with many concerns: Is the documentation complete? Which area should I visit first? How is tuition paid? How do scholarships apply? Or where can students coming to HCMC from the provinces find a place to stay?

To answer those questions, at each campus, the university sets up a system of guideboards, directional maps, and specialized support booths covering everything from document submission, tuition and scholarship consultation, student ID photo capture, to providing details about dormitories and rental houses.

The clear zoning helps freshmen minimize the need to move around repeatedly and remain proactive in completing procedures. For cases with missing documents or those needing information updates, the staff-in-charge directly inspects, explains, and provides detailed assistance.

Accompanying the administrative staff are volunteer students stationed at various locations to give directions, assist with paperwork, and answer common questions. A timely piece of advice or a friendly conversation with upperclassmen might seem like a small detail, but it is enough to help many freshmen feel less out of place on their first day at school.

Scholarship boosts confidence for the university journey

Joy on enrollment day was multiplied as freshmen and parents received detailed consultations regarding scholarship policies and tuition support for the 2026 admissions cohort.

This year, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is dedicating 2,000 scholarship slots to freshmen who complete enrollment prior to August 21st, 2026.

Accordingly, freshmen admitted under their 1st preference will receive a scholarship worth 12 million VND, directly deducted from the first semester’s tuition. Freshmen admitted under remaining preferences will receive a scholarship worth 10 million VND, which is also directly deducted from their first semester’s tuition.

In addition to tuition scholarships, freshmen upon enrollment are also gifted an English course voucher valued at 5 million VND at the University’s Foreign Language Center.

Notably, candidates who are admitted and enroll at NTTU under preference 1, 2, or 3 will receive an additional scholarship worth 2 million VND for their second semester’s tuition.

Thus, the total value of scholarships and support vouchers can reach 19 million VND for candidates admitted via preference 1, 17 million VND for preference 2 or 3, and 15 million VND for those admitted via remaining preferences.

The English learning voucher is applicable for courses at the University’s Foreign Language Center and cannot be converted into cash.

Aside from policies tailored for enrolling freshmen, NTTU also implements various scholarship programs based on academic achievements, talents, and individual circumstances of candidates.

Valedictorians or candidates who win First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Consolation prizes in academic, artistic, talent, or sports competitions at provincial and national levels have the opportunity to receive scholarships ranging from 50% to 100% of full-course tuition.

Scholarships ranging from 30% to 50% of full-course tuition are reserved for candidates facing difficult circumstances or those enrolling in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology, and Biotechnology.

Female students enrolling in fields under the Technology – Engineering spectrum have the opportunity to receive scholarships covering up to 30% of full-course tuition. The university also offers numerous scholarships covering 80% to 100% of the first semester’s tuition for candidates with excellent academic performances.

Truong Thao Linh, a freshman in Accounting, shared: “When I was consulted about the scholarship slots and support policies for freshmen, I felt very happy because this support helps my family ease a part of the financial burden during the initial phase. To me, the scholarship is meaningful not only financially but also as a source of motivation for me to strive in my studies, proactively participate in activities, and make good use of opportunities during my time at school.”
