Recently, the Phu Nhuan Stadium was filled with vibrant colors, energy, and a spirit of connection as nearly 2,000 residents and medical staff participated in the “Health Qigong Performance for Community Health” program. Nearly 100 lecturers and students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University also immersed themselves in the atmosphere, contributing to spreading the message of living healthily and proactively to the community.
more than 100 students and staff participated
The event was organized by the Traditional Medicine Institute of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Nhuan Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and to mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Traditional Medicine Institute. This was not only a large-scale cultural and health activity but also a powerful message affirming that Ho Chi Minh City is placing the health of its citizens at the center of its sustainable development strategy.
During the program, experts from the Traditional Medicine Institute guided participants through seven basic Qigong movements. Just 15 minutes a day can help circulate blood, improve joint flexibility, and refresh the mind. The exercises were developed based on the work of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Huong, who laid the foundation for the Qigong movement in Vietnam, described as a “symphony of the body” that anyone can practice.
A notable highlight of this year’s program was the enthusiastic presence of students from the Hospital Management and Traditional Medicine doctor majors at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
The student team actively supported the activities, creating a youthful, friendly atmosphere and helping to spread the spirit of healthy living to the community. The presence of students from Hospital Management and Traditional Medicine majors demonstrates the proactiveness of students in accompanying community-oriented healthcare programs, while also joining hands to promote the habit of exercising and maintaining health within the community.
NTTU Students improved their healthcare along side the community
The participation of the young student force brought fresh energy and strengthened the bond between the university, medical facilities, and the community, affirming the training philosophy of “Real Learning – Real Practice – Real Achievement – Real Employment” that Nguyen Tat Thanh University always aims for. Currently, the Traditional Medicine Institute of Ho Chi Minh City is one of the important training facilities for students of Hospital Management and Traditional Medicine majors at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, helping them approach practice and hone their professional skills and capabilities.
