In order to effectively perform initial health care for students and ensure compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, Nguyen Tat Thanh University recently organized an entrance health check-up program for the 2025–2026 academic year for Cohort 25 freshmen and students of previous cohorts who had not yet participated in the mandatory check-up. The program took place from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026, attracting the participation of nearly 5,700 students university-wide.
The activity was deployed at two campuses of the University, including the Xom Chieu Ward campus (former District 4) and the An Phu Dong Ward campus (former District 12), creating favorable conditions for students to proactively arrange their time to participate in the health check-up without affecting their learning and living schedules. The medical examination was directly conducted by a team of experienced doctors and nurses from Golden Healthcare Clinic, ensuring medical expertise, accuracy, and safety throughout the implementation process.
The entrance health check-up program attracted a large number of participating students
Entrance health check-up is a compulsory activity for students according to current regulations, and is also one of the important contents in the management, monitoring, and student care of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Through the program, the University has a foundation to understand the general health status of students right from the beginning of the course, thereby developing appropriate study, physical training, and medical support plans, contributing to ensuring the best learning conditions for learners.
Within the framework of the program, students participated fully in the prescribed examination items, including physical examination such as measuring height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and calculating BMI index to assess initial physical condition. In addition, students also received general clinical examinations at specialized departments such as internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, odonto-stomatology, and dermatology. Furthermore, necessary paraclinical tests such as blood tests and urine tests were also performed to early detect potential health problems.

After completing the examination steps, students were directly consulted by doctors about their current health status, and were also guided on appropriate nutrition, living habits, and physical training tailored to their individual conditions. This is an important foundation to help students raise their awareness of personal health care, adjust to a scientific lifestyle, and proactively prevent diseases during their studies at the university.
To ensure the program ran effectively, the University arranged a flexible examination schedule over many days, divided by faculty and groups of students to reduce overcrowding and facilitate a quick, smooth examination process. Close coordination between the functional units of the University and the medical team contributed to building a scientific, professional examination process, ensuring accurate and comprehensive evaluation of students’ health status.
Over the past years, along with constantly innovating training programs, improving teaching quality, and linking training with practical social needs, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has always focused on implementing many activities to care for student life. Periodic health examination programs, school psychological counseling, and organization of sports, physical education, cultural, and artistic activities are maintained regularly by the University to build a dynamic, healthy, and humanistic learning environment.
Organizing the entrance health check-up for nearly 5,700 students not only helps complete student management profiles but also creates an important database for tracking, supporting, and caring for student health throughout their learning and research process at the University. Through this, the University clearly demonstrates its responsibility to accompany students, contributing to improving the quality of school life and building a student community that develops comprehensively in both physical and mental aspects.

The entrance health check-up not only helps complete profiles but also ensures the health and physical condition of students during their learning process
Through the entrance health check-up program for the 2025–2026 academic year, Nguyen Tat Thanh University continues to reaffirm its learner-centered educational orientation, constantly improving support services to bring a safe, modern, and friendly learning environment to students.
