In the face of rapidly growing beauty trends and the cosmetics market on social media, equipping students with proper skincare knowledge has become more essential than ever. Recently, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized an educational and outreach program themed “Healthy Skin – Naturally Beautiful Through Correct Knowledge” in 2026, providing students with practical insights into skincare, safe use of cosmetics, and building scientific lifestyle habits.
At the university age, the need to care for one’s appearance, especially skincare, is receiving increasing attention. However, with the popularity of social media platforms, many young people easily access unverified beauty information, follow trends in cosmetic usage, or treat skin issues themselves without sufficient professional knowledge.
Given this reality, the “Healthy Skin – Naturally Beautiful Through Correct Knowledge” program was organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University to help students understand their skin, learn how to care for it scientifically, and take proactive steps to protect their own health. This is not only an educational health outreach activity but also reflects the University’s commitment to accompanying students in their holistic development regarding knowledge, skills, physical health, and spiritual well-being.

MSc. Dr. Phan Minh Doan from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Dermato-Venereology shares practical knowledge on scientific skincare, acne treatment, and the safe use of cosmetics.
Understanding to Care for Skin Safely and Scientifically
During the program, students were introduced to foundational knowledge about skin structure and function, factors affecting skin health, and how to identify common skin issues. Content relevant to student life—such as cleansing, moisturizing, sun protection, acne treatment, sensitive skin care, and choosing appropriate cosmetics—was presented in an easy-to-understand, practical, and highly applicable manner.
Through these outreach efforts, students have gained a basis to view skincare from a scientific perspective, rather than chasing instant beauty trends or using products based on intuition. The program emphasized that healthy skin does not come from “quick-fix” methods but needs to be nurtured through correct knowledge, appropriate habits, and consistency in daily care.
Notably, the program helped students identify common mistakes in skincare routines, such as using too many products at once, self-prescribing treatment products, skipping sunscreen, improper cleansing, or being complacent about unusual signs on the skin. These are common issues that, if not guided in time, can affect skin health and the self-confidence of young people.

Direct Consultation with Dermatologists
A highlight of the program was the sharing session by MSc. Dr. Phan Minh Doan from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Dermato-Venereology. With his professional experience in dermatology, the doctor provided students with practical knowledge regarding skincare, acne treatment, safe cosmetic use, and how to handle skin problems common to university students.
In addition to providing professional knowledge, the session helped students understand the boundary between routine skincare and cases that require examination and consultation from a specialist. This is a crucial point, given that many young people have a habit of searching for information online, buying medications, or using specialized products without proper guidance.
Beyond the topical presentation, students had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange directly with the doctor about problems they were experiencing, such as acne, sensitive skin, cosmetic irritation, post-acne scarring, skincare during stressful academic periods, or irregular routines. These specific, relatable answers helped students gain more knowledge to adjust their skincare routines to fit their personal conditions.

NTTU Accompanies Students Toward a Healthy, Positive Life
Alongside the professional content, the program also received support from GIGAMED Pharmaceutical Company, with many meaningful gifts for participating students. This accompaniment helped create an exciting and approachable atmosphere, while encouraging students to pay more attention to their personal health through small daily habits.
The “Healthy Skin – Naturally Beautiful Through Correct Knowledge” program did not stop at guiding students on skincare; it also spread a message about a scientific, proactive, and responsible lifestyle regarding personal health. Through the knowledge received, students understood that natural beauty must begin from a foundation of health, correct understanding, and safe choices in daily life.
For Nguyen Tat Thanh University, organizing health-related educational programs is part of the orientation to build a humane, modern, and comprehensive university environment. The University focuses not only on professional training and skill development but also on the physical and mental health and quality of life of students.
Through this program, NTTU continues to affirm its role as a companion for students on their journey of learning, training, and self-improvement. From the lecture hall to extracurricular activities, from professional knowledge to life skills, NTTU students are always empowered to develop holistically, confidently care for themselves, adapt to modern life, and spread positive values within the community.
