A Large Number of Candidates Participate in the Talent Entrance Examination at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

On June 26, at the main campus of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, a large number of candidates attended the admissions entrance exam for talent and art majors for the year 2026. This is one of the admission conditions for candidates wishing to pursue majors in the field of arts at the University.

According to the Admissions Council, right in the first round of the examination, Nguyen Tat Thanh University recorded a large number of participating candidates. Many candidates from HCMC and neighboring provinces and cities arrived early to complete procedures, stabilize their minds, and prepare for their exams. Accordingly, candidates participated in subjects such as: general knowledge of music, piano talent, singing talent, actor physique, and dance talent.

M.A., Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet – Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, stated that the talent exam was organized seriously, in accordance with the regulations, ensuring favorable conditions for candidates to demonstrate their competence, aesthetic thinking, and creativity. The university proactively prepared facilities and arranged teams of staff and lecturers to provide support throughout the examination process, from welcoming and guiding procedures to disseminating regulations and supporting candidates in the examination rooms.

Previously, Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized many free talent exam preparation classes, creating maximum conditions for reviewing, checking knowledge, as well as practicing specialized skills such as playing instruments, singing, etc.

Recorded at the Examination Council for music knowledge, piano talent, singing talent, acting skills, and dance talent, most candidates demonstrated their talent, thorough preparation, and passion for the field they are pursuing. In particular, sections such as singing, dancing, and acting skills attracted attention due to elaborate investment, bringing many unique artistic colors to each performance.

Taking the entrance exam for the Dance Choreography major at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, candidate Tran Bao Anh – a student of Duong Van Duong High School shared: “During the time before the exam, I participated in free talent exam preparation classes organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The teachers guided me very dedicatedly, helping me consolidate my technique and be more confident when entering the exam room. I also spent about two weeks preparing and perfecting my dance piece. Although I am still a little nervous and not completely confident, today I tried my best to complete the exam well”.

Similarly, candidate Nguyen Tran Huy said that he spent about two weeks preparing for the talent exam. In addition to participating in free exam preparation classes organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University to consolidate skills and get used to the exam format, Huy also maintained a practice intensity of about 4 hours per day. Although he was still a bit nervous and not entirely confident when entering the exam room, Tran Huy evaluated his performance as quite good and hoped to achieve the expected results.

To become a student in art majors at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, candidates can register for admission based on combinations consisting of basic subjects and a talent exam subject. For the two basic subjects, Mathematics and Literature, candidates can use their 2026 high school graduation exam scores or high school transcript scores for admission.

In particular, in the context of the growing creative industry, the University focuses on updating training trends associated with technology, artificial intelligence, and labor market needs. Majors such as Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or Architecture are oriented toward practical approach through the application of digital technology, modern design thinking, and the capability to implement highly applicable products. Meanwhile, performing arts majors such as Vocal Music, Piano, or Dance Choreography focus on developing professional skills, performance styles, and the ability to integrate into professional artistic environments.

In 2026, the University announced a scholarship policy worth 75 billion VND for students, in which art talent students have the opportunity to receive scholarships covering 50% to 100% of the entire course tuition fee when winning First/Second/Third/Fourth/Consolation prizes in excellent student/art contests, or talent/sports competitions at national and provincial levels, or for students who are the university-wide valedictorian or the entrance valedictorian of the faculty. In addition, female students admitted to the Architecture major at Nguyen Tat Thanh University can also receive a scholarship of 30% of the entire course tuition fee under the university’s Female Student Scholarship program.

Particularly, 2,000 candidates who enroll with their 1st preference before September 15, 2026, also have the chance to receive a scholarship of 17 million VND. Throughout the learning process, students are also considered and granted study encouragement scholarships on an annual basis.

It is expected that in July 2026, Nguyen Tat Thanh University will continue to hold the 2nd round of the talent exam. Before this time, candidates can register for the exam and participate in free preparation classes organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
