NTTU Brings Expertise to the Community through the “White Blouse for the Community”

Continuing the series of community-oriented activities in the 2026 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, Nguyen Tat Thanh University collaborated with various units to organize a free medical examination and medicine distribution program in Moc Hoa Commune, Tay Ninh Province. The program contributes to improving the health of local residents while providing an environment for health-science students to gain practical experience, enhance professional skills, and cultivate medical ethics and social responsibility.

The 2026 “White Blouse for the Community” free medical examination and medicine distribution program was organized by the Youth Union – Student Association of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Technology, the Youth Union – Student Association of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty/Staff Branch 1 of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, in coordination with the Cho Ray Hospital Youth Union and the Moc Hoa Commune Youth Union. The activity aims to celebrate the success of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City being honored to bear the name of President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Tien Dung – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Moc Hoa Commune, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Cho Ray Hospital Youth Union and the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for their care, companionship, and practical health-care activities for local residents. Mr. Truong Tien Dung highly valued the humanitarian significance of the program and expressed his hope that community volunteer activities will continue to be maintained and spread, contributing to tightening the cohesion between organizations and the locality in social welfare work.

During the program, a team of doctors from Cho Ray Hospital, along with lecturers and students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University, conducted direct medical examinations, provided health consultations, guided disease prevention, and distributed free medicine to 300 families in difficult circumstances in Moc Hoa commune. Additionally, the program donated essential goods, contributing to sharing difficulties, encouraging spirits, and spreading humanitarian values to the community.

During the implementation, students from health-related faculties had the opportunity to directly assist the medical team in activities such as blood pressure measurement, medical history taking, patient guidance, and medicine distribution. This allowed them to apply professional knowledge into practice, sharpen professional skills, and uphold medical ethics.

On this occasion, Nguyen Tat Thanh University awarded 40 “Supporting the Journey to School” scholarships to students in difficult circumstances. Each scholarship included a white shirt, a backpack, notebooks, and school supplies. The University hopes that these gifts not only provide timely support to students and families in need but also demonstrate the responsibility and spirit of sharing of the youth towards the community.

Nguyen Mai Thanh Truc – Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union, presented gifts from Nguyen Tat Thanh University to students in difficult circumstances.

Within the framework of the 2026 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign in Moc Hoa commune, Tay Ninh province, the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University visited, encouraged, and presented gifts and medical cabinets to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and social policy families in the commune. This activity reflects the moral principle of “When drinking water, remember its source,” contributing to educating revolutionary traditions and fostering gratitude and social responsibility in the young generation.

Additionally, the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University coordinated to plant and care for trees along key roads and donated 400kg of fertilizer to support the locality in implementing its projects. Furthermore, they successfully organized useful playgrounds that fostered exchange, learning, solidarity, and creativity, such as the “Golden Bell” contest on the theme of “Improving Foreign Languages and International Integration for Union Members and Youth,” and the forum “Building Beautiful Friendships – Say No to School Violence.”

Through this series of practical activities in the 2026 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, the youth of Nguyen Tat Thanh University continue to uphold the spirit of volunteerism for the community, contributing to healthcare, supporting the lives of local residents, and carrying out social welfare tasks. These gifts, scholarships, and projects not only have material value but also demonstrate the spirit of sharing and the social responsibility of the “Bac’s University” youth. Moreover, this is a meaningful practical environment for students to hone their skills, apply professional knowledge, foster medical ethics, and spread good humanitarian values.
