To acknowledge the training and dedication of union members reaching maturity age in the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, while creating a bridge between generations of Youth Union and Student Association officials, the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University recently organized the “Youth Union Maturity Ceremony – Meeting and Exchange with Former Youth Union – Student Association Officials and Outstanding ‘Students of 5 Merits’ Post-Commendation 2026”. The program served not only as an occasion to express gratitude for the contributions of union members and Youth Union – Student Association officials across various periods, but also to spread a sense of responsibility and the aspiration to contribute among today’s student generation.
The program was attended by representatives from the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union and Student Association, prominent Youth Union – Student Association officials, union members, student members, along with former Youth Union – Student Association officials from multiple generations.
Delivering the opening speech, MSc. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc Chau – Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union, emphasized that the Youth Union Maturity Ceremony is not only an occasion to recognize the maturity and contributions of union members completing their Youth Union service age, but also an opportunity for generations of Youth Union – Student Association officials to meet, share experiences, spread the spirit of dedication, and provide additional motivation for the young generation. Through each stage of development, generations of Youth Union – Student Association officials have consistently left enduring positive marks through their pioneering spirit, responsibility, creativity, and enthusiasm.
These very values have contributed to building the tradition of the youth of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and have become an inspiring source for today’s generation to continue inheriting and promoting.

“I believe that the sharing and experiences of senior officials and students awarded the title of ‘Student of 5 Merits’ will add motivation and continue spreading positive values, encouraging Youth Union officials, union members, and student members to continuously study, train, and become more resilient in their work and life” – comrade Nguyen Hoang Ngoc Chau emphasized.
At the program, the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union presented the Decision recognizing the 2026 Youth Union maturity for union members who have completed their Youth Union activity age. This milestone acknowledges the training and dedication of each union member within the Youth Union organization, while demonstrating trust and expectations that union members will continue promoting their resilience, sense of responsibility, and aspiration to contribute on new journeys.

Within the framework of the program, union members had the opportunity to listen to sharing from former Youth Union officials. Drawing from practical experiences in studying, Youth Union – Student Association work, and career development journeys, former Youth Union officials affirmed that the Youth Union – Student Association environment not only helps students practice leadership, teamwork, and time management skills, but also shapes resilience, a sense of responsibility, and adaptability in modern working environments.
Union members, student members, and students listened to sharing from two former Youth Union officials: comrade Pham Nhu Thao – Senior Customer Service Director of BV Bank – Dam Doi Branch, Former Deputy Secretary of the 6th term University Youth Union, Former President of the 3rd term University Student Association; Dr. Nguyen Tan Xuan Tung – Lecturer at Thu Dau Mot University, Former Member of the Executive Committee of the 7th term University Youth Union, Former Full-time Official of the Office of the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Particularly, stories about the journey to achieve the title of “Student of 5 Merits”, experiences in balancing studies and movement activities, as well as employers’ perspectives on students actively participating in Youth Union – Student Association activities provided numerous practical lessons, instilling further motivation for students to continuously self-improve.
Union members, student members, and students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University raised multiple questions revolving around career development journeys, essential skills in the digital transformation era, and the values of the “Student of 5 Merits” movement directed to former youth union officials and “Students of 5 Merits”. Sincere and approachable sharing provided young people with increased confidence to boldly challenge themselves, actively participate in Youth Union – Student Association activities, and view this as an essential environment for training and maturity.
The program atmosphere became more vibrant with a minigame activity exploring the history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnamese Student Association, the “Student of 5 Merits” movement, and the University’s Youth Union – Student Association activities. Through online interactive formats, the program helped students review traditions, enhance understanding, and strengthen bonds among generations of union members and student members.

Concluding the program was a motivation-transmitting ritual featuring the participation of all delegates, former Youth Union – Student Association officials, union members, student members, and students. The image of generations holding hands and shouting slogans displaying the spirit of solidarity, continuity, and the aspiration to contribute left deep emotions, affirming the continuous inheritance of the youth movement of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Through the program, the Youth Union – Student Association of Nguyen Tat Thanh University continues affirming its role as a comprehensive educational environment, contributing to nurturing ideals, ethics, skills, and a sense of responsibility in students. Simultaneously, the activity helps connect generations of Youth Union – Student Association officials, spreading positive values, providing further motivation for Uncle Ho’s university youth to continuously study, train, dedicate, and integrate, thereby contributing to the development of the community and the country.
